Care that meets you where you are
Our team combines hands-on treatment, education, exercise, and collaborative care to help you recover, move better, and return to the activities that matter to you.
Our Unique Approach to Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapists help you recover from injuries, accidents, surgeries, and acute or chronic conditions with personalized care and clear guidance.
Comprehensive assessment and personalized objectives
Your physiotherapist reviews your health history, listens to your concerns, and sets goals that match your life, whether that means reducing pain, returning to gardening, or walking without limping.
Tailored treatment plans in private settings
Treatment takes place in private rooms with one-on-one attention. Your plan is adapted to your needs and includes education, expert guidance, and targeted exercises.
Ongoing support and collaboration
We communicate with your healthcare team, send assessment reports when needed, track your progress, and follow up after your last visit to support lasting recovery.
Acupuncture / IMS / Dry needling
These techniques use very fine needles to support pain relief, muscle relaxation, healing, and improved function.
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture involves inserting thin needles into specific points in the body to encourage a natural healing response, alleviate pain, and improve the function of affected areas. It can influence nerves, muscles, connective tissue, hormones, and blood flow.
What should I expect?
Needles are very thin and generally do not cause pain once inserted. Sessions usually last 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your needs and tolerance, and your physiotherapist checks your progress regularly.
What is dry needling?
Dry needling uses solid acupuncture needles to relax muscles that may be compressing or irritating nerves. It can deactivate painful trigger points, decrease muscle tension, and improve function.
What is IMS?
Intramuscular Stimulation is an assessment and treatment approach for myofascial pain syndromes of neuropathic origin. Fine needles are inserted into affected muscles to stimulate healing and release shortened tissues.
Cancer Rehabilitation
Physiotherapy can help people undergoing cancer treatment and cancer survivors maintain strength, mobility, physical function, and comfort.
Exercise and daily function
Consistent physical exercise can help decrease fatigue and improve the ability to perform normal daily activities. Physiotherapists design individualized programs to reduce or prevent cancer-related problems.
Comfort and well-being
Cancer and cancer treatments can cause pain, burning, numbness, tingling, cramps, spasms, and weakness. Manual therapy, modalities, and exercise can help reduce symptoms and improve function.
Lymphedema and swelling
Some treatments can lead to swelling in the arms or legs. Your therapist may use gentle massage, specific movement, exercises, and compression garments to reduce, control, or prevent swelling.
Surgical incisions and breast cancer rehab
Physiotherapy can support incision healing, circulation, pain reduction, scar mobility, post-mastectomy education, cording release, joint mobility, conditioning, and garment recommendations.
Concussion Management
Early management is key to successful concussion recovery. Physiotherapy helps you rest safely, rebuild tolerance, and return to work, school, sports, and daily life.
Early rest and education
A concussion is an injury to the brain. Complete rest from physical, mental, environmental, and especially visual demands is important during the first 48 hours.
Guided return to activity
Your physiotherapist teaches you how to come out of rest safely and gradually rebuild activity tolerance using established Canadian guidelines.
Targeted treatment and exercises
Care can include treatment for neck issues and individualized exercises for vision, vertigo or vestibular symptoms, cardiovascular tolerance, and balance.
Common symptoms
Headaches, dizziness, nausea, fogginess, light or noise sensitivity, concentration or memory changes, blurry or double vision, fatigue, anxiety, depression, and mood changes can all occur.
Maternal Health
Pregnancy and the postpartum period can bring physical and emotional challenges for mothers and newborns. Physiotherapy can help at many stages.
Pregnancy and postpartum pain
Physiotherapy can support back pain, hip pain, urinary incontinence, and recovery as your body adapts during pregnancy and after delivery.
Cesarean preparation and recovery
Care can include preparation for a planned or unplanned cesarean section and post-cesarean recovery, which is recommended as soon as possible.
Breastfeeding and newborn support
Treatment can help reduce pain or inflammation caused by breastfeeding, improve positioning and latching, and support newborn assessment for motor development, tongue tie, torticollis, and more.
Return to activity
Athletic mothers can receive guidance on safe running, jogging, and return to higher-intensity activity during pregnancy and in the postpartum period.
Paediatrics
Paediatric physiotherapy helps children achieve their optimal physical development, from newborns to adolescents, through play, age-appropriate instruction, and individualized treatment.
Infant and newborn concerns
Care can support infant torticollis, plagiocephaly, and brachial plexus injuries with gentle handling, positioning, stretching, and family education.
Development and mobility
Physiotherapists assess movement, posture, strength, and coordination for concerns such as developmental delays, scoliosis, and hip dysplasia.
Neurological and congenital conditions
Treatment can help children with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down syndrome, and other conditions build mobility, comfort, confidence, and function.
Sports, balance, and recovery
Older children and teens can receive care for sports and recreational injuries, sprains and strains, post-concussion syndrome, vertigo, and return to activity.
Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation
Pelvic floor rehabilitation is specialized physiotherapy focused on the muscles that support the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs, helping people improve pelvic health with conservative care.
Bladder and bowel incontinence
Tailored programs address involuntary bladder or bowel leakage with practical strategies to improve control, reduce symptoms, and support daily confidence.
Bladder and bowel dysfunction
Care can help with urgency, increased frequency, pain with voiding, and related dysfunction by identifying contributing factors and building an individualized plan.
Prolapse, pelvic pain, and sexual function
Treatment can support pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic girdle pain, pain with intercourse, and sexual dysfunction through non-invasive, targeted rehabilitation.
Personalized supportive care
Physiotherapists provide private, comfortable, individualized treatment plans that address symptoms, underlying causes, long-term function, and personal goals.
Shockwave
Shockwave therapy uses acoustic waves to stimulate the body's natural healing process, support faster recovery, reduce discomfort, and improve mobility in stubborn musculoskeletal conditions.
Targeted tissue treatment
A hand-held applicator focuses treatment on specific areas of concern, helping address damaged tissue, adhesions, scar tissue, and calcifications.
What to expect
Your therapist first assesses whether shockwave is right for you. Treatment is usually weekly for 3 to 6 weeks, with each application lasting about 5 to 10 minutes.
Common conditions
Shockwave therapy may help plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy, shoulder tendinopathy, rotator cuff concerns, and hip bursitis.
Comfort and recovery
The intensity can be adjusted for comfort. Mild temporary soreness, tenderness, or swelling may occur as the treatment stimulates the body's inflammatory response.
Telehealth
Virtual physiotherapy, also known as telerehabilitation, is a one-on-one online video appointment with a registered physiotherapist from your home, office, or another comfortable space.
Online assessment and treatment planning
Your physiotherapist reviews your medical history, asks focused questions, observes movement, guides tests, diagnoses the concern, and creates a recovery plan.
Convenient access to care
Telehealth helps you avoid travel, traffic, waiting rooms, and time away from work while still receiving quality physiotherapy support.
Useful when mobility is limited
Virtual sessions can reduce discomfort when travel is difficult, help with home-based guidance, and provide access to specialized treatment not always available nearby.
Coverage and blended care
A mix of virtual and in-person visits may be recommended. Sessions are tax-free and covered by many extended health plans, though clients should confirm individual coverage.
TMJ / Jaw
The temporomandibular joints connect your jaw to your head and allow you to speak, chew, swallow, and yawn. Physiotherapy can help when these joints or nearby muscles become painful, stiff, or limited.
Common TMJ symptoms
TMJ disorders can cause jaw, face, ear, neck, and shoulder pain, stiffness, reduced movement, jaw locking, chewing difficulty, ringing in the ears, teeth grinding, headaches, and migraines.
History and assessment
Your physiotherapist reviews your health history and daily habits, then evaluates jaw and neck pain, movement, range, and limitations.
Hands-on treatment
Treatment can include manual techniques to mobilize the jaw and relax muscles that are contributing to tension, stiffness, or pain.
Exercises and prevention
You receive posture and strengthening exercises, plus practical advice to maintain jaw and neck health and reduce the risk of recurring symptoms.
Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vestibular rehabilitation is specialized physiotherapy for dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, and spatial-orientation symptoms caused by changes in the inner-ear balance system.
Common vestibular disorders
Care can support BPPV, vestibular neuritis, Meniere's disease, labyrinthitis, and post-concussion vestibular dysfunction.
Assessment and diagnosis
Your physiotherapist reviews symptoms, triggers, and medical history, then tests balance, eye movements, positional changes, gait, and daily function.
Targeted treatment plans
Treatment may include canalith repositioning maneuvers such as the Epley maneuver, habituation exercises, balance training, gaze stabilization, education, and home exercises.
Better balance and confidence
Vestibular rehabilitation can reduce dizziness and vertigo, improve coordination, lower fall risk, and help you return to daily activities with greater confidence.
Visceral and Neural Manipulations
Visceral and neural manipulation are light-touch manual therapy approaches focused on mobility restrictions around internal organs, connective tissue, and nerves that may contribute to persistent pain or dysfunction.
Visceral manipulation
This approach addresses restrictions around the internal organs and surrounding tissues that can contribute to musculoskeletal symptoms, especially chronic conditions that are slow to improve.
Gentle treatment experience
Treatment is usually performed through clothing while you rest comfortably. The therapist uses very light touch around the abdomen, lower ribs, or lower back, always within your comfort level.
Neural manipulation
Neural manipulation identifies and releases local nerve restrictions so nerves can move more freely, communicate more accurately with the brain, reduce pain, and optimize function.
Conditions that may benefit
Care may support chronic low back pain, sciatica, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, migraines, concussion symptoms, pelvic floor dysfunction, joint pain, tendinitis, sprains, and traumatic lesions.

Assistive Devices Assessment
If you need a walking aid, our physiotherapists can assess your needs, recommend the right device, and provide a prescription for Ontario's Assistive Devices Program when appropriate.
Assessment and prescription
Your physiotherapist evaluates your needs and condition, then prescribes an appropriate device such as a walker, cane, forearm crutches, stroller, or specialized walking equipment for children.
ADP funding and ordering
Eligible clients may receive funding for 75% or 100% of the device cost. After the assessment, you purchase through an authorized vendor and present the prescription for the applicable reduction.
Vendor support and guarantees
Products are covered by the warranties offered by the vendor and manufacturer. Repairs or defects are handled through the vendor, and the clinic can help with other questions.
Home service and important timing
Home assessments may be available for an extra fee when travel is difficult. A prescription must be obtained before purchase, as devices bought without one are not eligible for the program.
Compressive Stockings
Physio Plantagenet is a certified vendor and fitter for SIGVARIS custom-fitted compression stockings, helping you choose support that matches your needs and condition.

Compression stockings may help relieve leg swelling related to varicose veins, vascular deficiencies, pregnancy, lymphedema, and post-surgery recovery.
Ordering and measurement
Book an assessment to review your needs, take measurements, answer questions, and explore a catalogue with different styles and colors.
